[Breaking News] The Horsemen To Split In LCW
Manager James J. Dillon said, "It just hasn't been the same since (Ric) Flair lost the loser leaves LCW match to (Nikita) Koloff several weeks ago on LCW Showdown. It's time for (Barry) Windham to focus on Windham and for (Arn) Anderson and (Tully) Blanchard to focus on Anderson and Blanchard."
Anderson, Blanchard, and Windham will continue to share the managerial services of Dillon and haven't ruled out the possibility of teaming together in the future. However, they it won't be with the shared Horsemen banner.
In a telephone interview, Blanchard said, "I don't think we'll ever be able to get away from it. Anytime we team up with Windham there's always going to be mentions of the Four Horsemen. It's unavoidable. This thing is bigger than any of us individually."
Windham said in a telephone interview, "I'll have their back if they need it, and they'll have my back if I need it, but we're just not the Horsemen without 'The Nature Boy'."
When asked about their future, Anderson and Blanchard promised to win the LCW United States Tag Team Championships from Demolition at LCW Beach Brawl on July 30, 2006. Anderson said, "You see, life is a cycle. In 1989, we won the WWF World Tag Team titles from Demolition and three months later we lost it. Fast forward 15 years and we're going to take the LCW World Tag Team titles from Demolition at Beach Brawl, but this time, we're breaking the cycle, it ends because we're not losing anything back to them again."
As for Windham's future, he said, "I'm gunning for gold. It doesn’t matter if it’s Austin's International title or Koloff Universal title. Hell, I might even team up with someone and take the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express’ World Tag Team titles.
