[Breaking News] Virgil Released from Legends Championship Wrestling

LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway announced today that the LCW Board of Directors has come to terms on the release of Virgil from his legends contract. In a telephone interview with LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com, Calaway said, "Without Ted DiBiase, there isn't much interest in Virgil at this time." LCW wishes Virgil the best in all future endeavors.

Virgil had been a part of Legends Championship Wrestling since it's inception and he was in Ted DiBiase's corner as his boydguard at the first LCW event, LCW SuperClash 2005, and remained by his side for the next two years. When Ted DiBiase's contract expired last week and DiBiase didn't resign a new contract, the decision to release Virgil was made shortly thereafter and officially announced today.
