[Breaking News] LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway Announces LCW Showdown Posting Time Change

The results for LCW Showdown will now be posted on LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com and LCWShowdown.com at 11PM EST/8PM PST on Wednesday evenings. This is the first time in the history of Legends Championship Wrestling that a time has been set for posing the results. In the past, LCW Showdown results were generally posted around Noon on Wednesday afternoon.

LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com Managing Editor Anthony Alvarez said of the change, "It's something we've been planning for a long time to make the product more realistic. We noticed that just as many people read the results on Thursday as those who read the results on Wednesday afternoon so we recommended the change to LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway. We're not losing any of the audience and we think we'll actually gain more audience with this move to a more realistic timeslot."

As for the persistent rumors of a change to a three-hour format from the regular two-hour format, due to the need for several three-hour specials over the past couple of months, Alvarez said, "That would be up to Calaway and the rest of the powers that be in production in Legends Championship Wrestling. There has been talk, I understand, of a possibility of making that change, but at this moment it's still a two-hour format show."

LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway said of the time change, "This is something that we've thought about for awhile now. We have the most realistic fantasy product on the internet and the team on the MySpace page gets asked all the time when it's on TV or how someone can watch it, and I personally take that as a compliment. We get that response and we have the fans we do because we take it very seriously and we respect it and we respect the audience and we work hard to present the most realistic product to the audience that we can. We don’t use deceased legends because we don't want to disrespect their legacies and why would they be on our show if they're deceased. We don't use WWE or TNA contracted talent because why would they be contracted to WWE and TNA and working for us at the same time? And it’s not interactive because of that old saying, too many cooks in the kitchen tends to spoil the broth. The only writer of the storylines is myself, I have a staff helping me with the MySpace page and the website, but all the storylines are mine and I take my job very seriously. At the end of the day, I'm a storyteller and I love sharing these stories with the audience. The change from posting the results in the afternoon to in the evening is another attempt to make the product as realistic as possible so the audience will take it as seriously and respect it as seriously as we do."
