[News Update] WWE Considering Bringing Back 80's Legend

WWE has actually been thinking about bringing back Robert Gibson, member of the legendary Rock 'n' Roll Express tag team. Gibson, who is currently an assistant trainer in Ohio Valley Wrestling, would return as an active wrestler. He has been working in OVW since December of last year. If he is brought back in, he would be used how Dave Taylor is used, helping the younger stars get the basic wrestling moves down. Gibson who is 49 years old is said to be in good shape. Gibson was last seen in TNA in 2003 as a part of Vince Russo's stable and is currently a featured legend in Legends Championship Wrestling with Ricky Morton as the Rock 'n' Roll Express.

LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway said of Gibson's possible return to WWE, "We've been thinking about either removing Robert Gibson or both Gibson and his Rock 'n' Roll Express partner Ricky Morton from the roster since Gibson became a trainer in OVW last year, but we haven't because the Rock 'n' Roll Express has been such a popular part of the Legends Championship Wrestling roster since its inception. However, if Gibson shows up on WWE television we will have no choice but to remove him from the roster as we don't feature contracted WWE or TNA wrestlers who might show up on WWE or TNA programming. We prefer to feature legends who aren't featured every week on WWE or TNA programming."

The Rock 'n' Roll Express are former LCW World Tag Team Champions and former three-time LCW United States Tag Team Champions.
