[Breaking News] Calaway OKs Austin's Appearance on RAW This Monday

LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway was the deciding vote on the LCW Board of Directors that will allow LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin to appear on WWE Monday Night Raw this Monday without having to vacate his title.

The twelve member Board of Directors voted on Sunday afternoon and was split 6-6 after deliberations on whether or not to allow Austin to appear on Raw this Monday. LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel sat in temporarily for the Fabulous Moolah, who passed away on Friday evening. The Board of Directors also discussed possible replacements for Moolah and announced that they would make their choice public on Tuesday afternoon.

In the past, Calaway would have immediately released any legend for appearing so frequently on WWE or TNA television programming. Austin also appeared on WWE's Cyber Sunday pay-per-view last Sunday as a special guest referee in a match between WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista and The Undertaker.

This is further evidence that Calaway being shot two weeks ago by the Iron Sheik on an episode of LCW Showdown may have actually changed the Chairman of the Board, a claim Calaway made last week on Showdown, but a claim that has been met with some disbelief.

However, some believe there are other reasons why Calaway cast the deciding vote in favor of keeping Austin in Legends Championship Wrestling. One insider, who wished to remain anonomous, said there used to be an unwritten rule is LCW, "One strike (appearance on WWE or TNA) and you're out! But that's not alway the case. Scott Hall is written out immediately for appearing on TNA, but Austin is allowed to remain? It's a double standard. But it's also smart business. Austin is money. And I think Calaway's trying to show Austin that he thinks he belongs in LCW and he wants him in LCW and he's really changed. However, I'm pretty certain that if this becomes a regualr thing (Austin appearing on WWE), then he will be removed from the roster. Calaway may have had a change of heart, but he is still adament about featuring legends who aren't on WWE or TNA television."
