[News Update] Lex Luger Moved From California to Atlanta

Lex Luger has been moved from California to an Atlanta area hospital. Unfortunately for Luger, he still hasn't regained the use of his arms or legs after suffering what is believed to be a "spinal stroke" while in San Francisco for the WrestleFanFest convention last month. Before he was left in a quadriplegic state, Luger had been scheduled to have hip replacement surgery last week and had been told by doctors that they were amazed he was able to walk given the deteriorating condition of both of his hips.

LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway said in a telephone interview with LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com, "One of the greatest things about Legends Championship Wrestling is that the only thing we're really limited by is death. We absolutely refuse to feature deceased legends as we don't want to write any storylines that might disrespect their families or their memories. But we struggle with issue such as health where real life injuries and diseases are concerned as we want to feature those legends like Superstar Billy Graham, The Dynamite Kid and others who will clearly never step into a ring again, but we also want to create a product that's as realistic as possible for our audience. So, while we often chose to ignore the reality of injuries or health concerns of the legends in our storylines, sometimes we can't and we might infuse that reality into our storylines. As for Luger, we don't know what we're going to do at the moment, but we all really respect Lex Luger so much and he's been a part of LCW from day one. We also really admire the way he's turned his life around. We're going to continue to honor and feature Lex Luger as the legend he is and the legend he will always be and we wish him the best on his recovery."
