[Breaking News] WWE Confirms Ric Flair's Departure From Company

From WWE.com:
WWE and Hall of Famer Ric Flair have mutually agreed to contractually part ways. After an extraordinary career Ric has chosen to pursue opportunities outside of WWE.

F4WOnline.com reported Sunday evening that the legendary Ric Flair had parted ways with World Wrestling Entertainment.
According to the brief story, representatives of the Nature Boy contacted independent promotions with the information that Flair would be available for bookings due to a departure from WWE which was confirmed by WWE this morning.
Early reports indicated that the severance was amicable. Flair's WWE contract had apparently been preventing him from accepting offers of interest, so the two sides agreed to end their relationship.
Now that Flair and WWE have parted ways, the door is now open for TNA to step in and book Flair. His WWE release does have the 90 day clause so unless things change, he will not be able to do certain bookings until the 90 days are up.
LCW Founder Christian Calaway said of the news in a telephone interview with LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com, "We're pleased to hear it as we really want to feature Flair in LCW storylines again and his being such an active and visible part of WWE has prevented that for awhile now. While we always want what's best for the legends, and often that's being in WWE, but now that the relationship between WWE and Ric Flair has dissolved, we're looking forward to featuring him again in LCW storylines."
Ric Flair is scheduled to appear at the NWA Legends Fanfest in Charlotte, NC August 14-17th. Tickets are still available. Click here for more information or to purchase your tickets now!
