[News Update] Honky Tonk Man's WWE Cyber Sunday Status

UPDATE: As reported last week, the Honky Tonk Man made claims suggesting he would not be appearing at this Sunday night's Cyber Sunday pay-per-view due to a finger injury he received when making an appearance for an independent wrestling organization.

However, according to a new report Honky Tonk Man has since said he WILL be in Phoenix, AZ, this Sunday and that should he be voted into the match he will participate. The feeling is that should the fans choose him to face Santino, creative will be able to work around his injury which does not appear to need surgery at this time.

Many believe the Honky Tonk Man to be the early favorite to win the voting in light of WWE's recent angle featuring Marella comparing his title reign to the Honky Tonk Man's legendary 64-week reign as the "Greatest Intercontinental Champion of All-Time" with the "Honk-a-Meter." Marella had a short program with Rowdy Roddy Piper earlier in the year and there has been talk of a return to WWE for Goldust, the two other legends as available options to fans voting.
