After failing to defeat the LCW Universal Champion Magnum TA two weeks ago at the LCW Redemption Day pay-per-view two weeks ago, The Raging Bull Manny Fernandez faced a new challenge from another man who failed to defeat Magnum TA, Dr. Death Steve Williams. In this week's main event, the two former number one contenders face each other to solidify their position as the top contender for the title.

Three years ago, at the LCW Battle for the Heritage television special, Superstar Billy Graham won a sixteen-man tournament to become the first ever LCW Heritage Championship and last week on he became a three-time LCW Heritage Championship when he won a 20-man battle royal to win the vacant LCW Heritage Championship. The title was vacated by LCW General Manager Nick Bockwinkel last week on Showdown after he stripped Stan Hansen of the title after the controversial way in which he "won" the title at the LCW Redemption Day pay-per-view. Bockwinkel ordered a 20-man battle royal to crown a new champion, and Graham came out on top and last ousted Hansen to claim the title. However, Graham didn't walk away with the title as he was attacked by Hansen after the match and Hansen left with the title, challenging Graham to take it from his cold, dead hands.

Also, at the LCW Redemption Day pay-per-view two weeks ago, Ric Flair interfered in Tully Blanchard's steel cage match with the Rock and attacked the Rock. Last week on LCW Showdown, Flair centered his focus on the Rock again, but that focus was momentarily shifted to Paul Roma who, after splitting with Young Stallions tag team partner Jim Powers, has attempted to align himself with Blanchard and Flair seemingly in an attempt to reform the Four Horsemen. Last week on LCW Showdown, Flair said he would consider reforming the Horsemen and including Roma in the group if he could prove himself worthy by defeating three opponents over the course of the next three weeks. On this week's edition of LCW Showdown, Roma faces the first of three opponents, this week's opponent personally selected by the "Perfect 10" Baby Doll.

While Ric Flair was distracted by Paul Roma, that distraction proved temporary as later in the show the Rock appears to answer Flair's assertion that LCW isn't big enough for the both of them and the outcome of that assertion led to a challenge that could have lasting impact on Legends Championship Wrestling.
