[LCWrestling.com Exclusive] Barry Windham: Can He Do It?!?

On this past week's edition of LCW Showdown (click here for the complete results), Barry Windham became the new new number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship. It was the luck of the draw as Windham's name was drawn at random with Macho Man Randy Savage as the two men who would face each other to determine the new number one contender for the title in a contenders match during Showdown Sweepstakes, a special edition of LCW Showdown.
Windham is a former NWA Heavyweight Champion (something that, as a result of his tragic car wreck, Magnum TA was never able to achieve himself), a two-time WWF Tag Team Champion, not to mention the numerous other championships that Windham has held in his illustrious career spanning almost 30 years. Now, Windham has the chance of a lifetime, to propel his career in Legends Championship Wrestling and capture the LCW Universal Championship.
Windham's most notable feuds have seen him battle the likes of Sting and Ric Flair, among many others. With over 30 championships collected over the course of his career, Windham has a great chance of achieving immortality and, not to mention, ending THE longest LCW Universal Championship reign in history, currently held by Magnum TA. Let's not discredit Magnum TA As the champion in this situation. The master of the belly-to-belly suplex, Magnum has outlasted everyone else who has held the belt (including Stone Cold Steve Austin). On October 14, 1986, Magnum was driving in the rain, when he lost control and wrapped the car around a telephone pole. Magnum, always fighting against the odds, returned to professional wrestling, and is now known by LCW fans as the greatest Legend to step foot in an LCW ring.
It will truly be a most epic battle between Magnum TA and Barry Windham over the prestigious LCW Universal Championship at the LCW Uprising pay-per-view on Sunday, May 10th. As Legends Championship Wrestling continues down the road to it's fourth anniversary SuperClash show, could we see the end of the magnificent reign of the belly-to-belly suplex master as LCW Universal Champion? Could this be the beginning of a new era for Legends Championship Wrestling?!?
