[Feature Story] Disciples of Allah: Destined for Success or Doomed to Failure?

The Disciples of Allah are a stable who have proved, in the past, to be a force to be reckoned with. Led by General Skandor Akbar and Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie, the group is comprised of: The Iron Sheik, Abdullah The Butcher and The Bolsheviks.

But before we get to the point of this article, lets take a look at the individual members of the group:

The Iron Sheik: While having quite limited success in Legends Championship Wrestling, Sheik is not one to be laughed at, as he has held such Championships throughout his career as the WWF Championship and the WWF World Tag Team Championship with Nikolai Volkoff. Sheik, when he wants to be, can be a very impressive and powerful member of the Disciples of Allah.

Abdullah The Butcher: Known by many as the Mad Man from the Sudan, with his Sudanese Meat Clever, Butcher is very big and powerful force in, not only the Disciples of Allah, but in Legends Championship Wrestling as a whole. Butcher, a former LCW Television Champion, is without a doubt a very impressive legend. one who certainly knows how to use his strength as an advantage!

The Bolsheviks: Nikolai Volkoff and Boris Zhukov, former LCW United States Tag Team Champions, are formidable threats to the LCW Tag Team Championships and could take them at any time.

However, there is one man who used to be a member of the Disciples of Allah - Ken Patera. Patera was booted out of the group after the LCW Descent pay-per-view in February after disappointing and apparently letting down the Disciples of Allah during a ten-man tag team match. However, many in the company see Patera as the "undoing of the group". Many citing that Al-Kassie and Akbar are obsessed with seeing Patera out of LCW, then hitting new heights of success.

LCW Executive Producer Matt Saye, who has been watching the group closely as of late, said in a telephone interview with LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com, "With no major championships, Al-Kassie and Adnan seem to have lost focus. If they don‘t get back on track soon, this could be their demise." We here at LegendsChampionshipWrestling.com are wondering if Saye’s words could be an omen of things to come for the once impressive stable. Could they be on their way out? Is this the end of the Disciples of Allah? Only time will tell, but something needs to be done to get this group back on track.
