[News and Rumors] LCW Uprising 2009 Fallout - WARNING! SPOILERS!

Without an edition of LCW Showdown this week, LCW Executive Producer Matt Saye decided to take you behind the scenes and into the locker room of Legends Championship Wrestling for this unauthorized, exclusive look at what's going on in LCW.

- According to many within the company, since his return to LCW on the last edition of LCW Showdown, LCW Founder Christian Calaway is already acting as if he runs the show again, changing and booking matches, going over finishes with the wrestlers, pitching storyline ideas. “It's like he never left,” said one source. “Some of the boys are a bit apprehensive to trust him again, though, considering that he just up and left us after the going got tough. We'll see what happens.”

- As if it were any illusion, the main event for LCW SuperClash will likely be LCW Universal Champion Magnum TA defending his title against the Nature Boy Ric Flair. With SuperClash 2009 being in Flair's hometown there's a lot of speculation from LCW fans, and even with some company officials about whether this will be the end of Magnum's reign. According to reports, some officials are quite bored with Magnum's run, citing it to be “stale”. However, at this time, LCW Founder Christian Calaway is runmored to be unconvinced that a new direction is the right thing to do.

- As of this time, it is thought that Calaway and Ted Turner will be set for a showdown of sorts at SuperClash. It isn't believed, however, that either man will wrestle at the big event, but rather they will pick representatives to have a match for them. Turner will likely choose Goldberg. As for Calaway's choice, some in the company are going as far as to say Hulk Hogan or The Rock. Some are even saying Stone Cold Steve Austin may be Calaway's representative. We haven't seen any of these Legends for a while in LCW storylines, but they are all big show performers.

- Speaking of Calaway and Turner, they were supposed to get more time at the Uprising pay-per-view, but one of their segments was cut due to time restraints. To be fair, the pay-per-view was a “heavy” pay-per-view, and with all the matches, there wasn't a lot of time for big segments.

- Coming off their altercation at LCW Uprising, it is believed that we could be headed for another Title Unification match with the LCW Television Championship and the LCW International Championship. The original plans, which have been scrapped, saw some sort of ladies match between Missy Hyatt and Baby Doll. The match would have been relatively short, anyway, so cutting it wasn't an issue for management.

- The rivalry between Dr. Death Steve Williams, and the newly crowned King of the Legends Diamond Dallas Page is far from over, says an unidentified source in management. The current plan will see Page and Williams in a blowoff match at SuperClash and the likelihood is that both men will go on, after the big event, to challenge for big LCW titles.

- Speaking of the KOTL tournament, it was an idea pitched to creative by LCW Executive Producer Matt Saye.

- Kevin Sullivan and Paul Orndorff are also set for a blowoff match at LCW SuperClash, but that's not 100% confirmed yet. The heel turn of Sir Oliver Humperdink this past Sunday was a complete shock to many, including the LCW fans and some management officials. Apparently, this was suggested literally minutes before the match was set to go on, by a member of the creative team. Sources have confirmed that the turn was expected to go off at SuperClash, but plans changed and it was moved up. Humperdink had been telling many at the company he was unhappy with his face run for some time, anyway. Expect Humperdink to be extremely involved in the finish at SuperClash.

- Sgt. Slaughter going over Stan Hansen at the pay-per-view was relatively shocking. Slaughter is expected to get a slight push from this win, nothing headline grabbing though. Hansen has been tipped to be going in another direction.

- Don't expect Butch Reed's singles push to last much longer. Considering Ron Simmons' return to LCW this past Sunday, the most likely plan sees Reed and Simmons reforming Doom, and getting a quick time as the top contenders for the LCW Tag Team Championships. There's been some question as to whether or not Slick will manager the team.

- Terry Funk's heel turn and his alignment with the Raging Bull Manny Fernandez wasn't very surprising to many in the company, as Calaway had been talking about teaming Funk and Fernandez and unifying the titles for a while now. It is believed that the run as LCW Tag Team Champions will be short lived, and they will hold the titles before dropping them to a more “traditional” team.

- Carlos Colon's run in Legends Championship Wrestling will be a short one, and probably won't last much beyond SuperClash. LCW Founder Christian Calaway wanted an “epic” feud to be put on SuperClash, and a match between Colon and Abdullah the Butcher was the one that was chosen. Expect a short and bloody match for the two, with perhaps a stipulation thrown in.

- The long feud between Tito Santana and LCW United States Champion Rick Martel is expected to end at SuperClash. It isn't clear who will come out on top, or if the title will be involved at all. Martel may not even be United States Champion at SuperClash.

- Some roster cuts are expected in Legends Championship Wrestling over the coming weeks and months. Around SuperClash, management looks at the roster, and the Legends performances throughout the year. If a Legends isn't connecting with the audience, or haven't performed particularly well, they can be expected to be cut. No names have been mentioned as of this point. According to sources LCW is restructuring in the coming months. We're not sure what that will involve, though.
