[Breaking News] The Nasty Boys Released From LCW Contracts

As first reported on LCW's Official Twitter account (twitter.com/lcwrestling), LCW has come to terms on the release of the Nasty Boys: Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags. LCW wishes Knobbs and Sags the best in all future endeavors.

The Nasty Boys faced LCW World Tag Team Champions The Midnight Express last night at the LCW Redemption Day Pay-Per-View which saw the Midnight Express retain the titles. The team were informed of their release this afternoon. This comes only weeks after the release of Brutus The Barber Beefcake was announced. More releases are expected.

Knobbs and Sags are a record-setting four time LCW World Tag Team Champions and former LCW United States Tag Team Champions and have been with the company since its inception in 2005. They actually won their first LCW World Tag Team Championships from the Road Warriors at LCW's inagural event, the very first LCW SuperClash in 2005.

It is believed that these releases are a result of Hulk Hogan's signing with TNA. The release of the Nasty Boys was not unexpected and rumors were swirling a few weeks ago that the Nasty Boys were going to be released after the Showdown at the Chase VI Television Special in which the Nasty Boys lost a triple threat match to the Bass Brothers and Cowboy Bob Orton and Dirty Dick Slater, a match won by Slater and Orton who walked away with the tag team titles.
